The trust was established in 1987 in memory of Joyce Irene Fletcher by members of her immediate family with a view to continuing her charitable work and interest in music and the arts, and the lives of children. The trust is administered by family trustees and there is no administrative staff; the only expenses incurred by the trust are fund management, bank costs and the external examination of the annual accounts.
The main charitable activities of the trust reflect the interests of the trustees in the support of music and the arts in a social and therapeutic context, particularly in the lives of children, the disabled and disadvantaged.
